Power and Performance
The 2024 Mazda CX-90 comes standard with a 3.3-liter inline-six engine that, depending on the trim level, makes up to 340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. This turbocharged engine delivers a lot of power in addition to responsive handling. The new Mazda SUV is also available as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model that combines an electric motor with a gasoline engine for improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.
The Kia Telluride offers less oomph with a standard 3.8-liter V6, making 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, and no PHEV or hybrid option, falling short in fuel efficiency, as well.
Interior Comfort
The 2024 Mazda CX-90 features an upscale interior design with premium materials and room for up to eight passengers. Leather is a standard feature starting with the Mazda CX-90 Preferred trim. Choose the 2024 Mazda CX-90 Premium Plus levels for Nappa leather upholstery. The Kia Telluride also seats eight and offers available SynTex Suede, premium stitching, and Nappa leather seating trim in five colors.
On the other hand, the Kia Telluride is not quite as spacious and comfortable as the Mazda SUV, even if it has some of the same materials.
Tech Features
The 2024 Mazda CX-90 features either a 10.3-inch or the larger 12.3-inch infotainment display integrated into the dashboard and includes features such as Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity. Another optional upgrade is a 12-speaker Bose® premium stereo system, which provides an immersive and clear audio experience. Plus, unlike the Kia SUV, the Mazda CX-90 includes Voice Command and Bluetooth® Hands-Free, empowering drivers to stay simultaneously safe and connected.
The Kia Telluride has an available 10-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system that falls short of its counterpart and lacks the hands-free features that set the Mazda model apart.
